Katrina Sherrerd (Ph.D ’87) is president and COO of Research Affiliates, a leader in asset allocation and smart beta investment strategies. Roughly $184 billion in assets are currently managed using investment strategies developed by the firm.
Sherrerd recently visited the University of Virginia Darden School of Business to deliver a guest lecture to students in the “Hot Topics” course. After the course, Sherrerd joined Darden for a video interview to discuss the areas of interest within her industry, including the evolution of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), diversity in investment management and the future of active management.
