CEO Voices: CARE USA CEO Michelle Nunn on Communicating to Drive Transformation
By Jay Hodgkins
University of Virginia Darden School of Business Professors June West and Steve Soltis interviewed CARE USA President and CEO Michelle Nunn in the latest episode of their podcast, CEO Voices: Leading With Communication.
A former candidate for the U.S. Senate, Nunn has served since July 2015 as president and CEO of the humanitarian organization that fights global poverty and provides lifesaving assistance in emergencies. During the podcast, Nunn spoke with Soltis and West about her efforts to use communication to transform the organization and reach ambitious new goals.
“When you are trying to create a transformational agenda, you are also having to think throughout about how you communicate,” Nunn said during the discussion. “How do you bring your team into participation of, co-creation of, ownership of that change.”
