Global MBA for Executives Grad Named ‘Best and Brightest’ by P&Q

By Jay Hodgkins

Congratulations to Laure Katz (GEMBA ’16), whom Poets & Quants just named one of “The Best and Brightest EMBAs of the Class of 2016.” Katz works to save the world’s most fragile and precious marine ecosystems at Conservation International, and recently shared why she came to Darden to make an even bigger impact in the following video.

Katz’s Q&A with Poets & Quants provides a great inside look at who she is and why Darden is proud to have helped develop and inspire her as a responsible leader who’s improving the world.

"My greatest learning came from working with people with different viewpoints and experiences than my own. I had come from an insular world in nonprofits, where I rarely felt challenged for my views — most people agreed with me. While at times personally challenging, working with my classmates from various professional backgrounds and mindsets not only helped me to much better understand viewpoints that are not my own, but also forced me to articulate mine in much more compelling, clear, and non-threatening ways."
