11 August 2021

By Dave Hendrick

The application for admission to the inaugural cohort of the University of Virginia Darden School of Business Part-Time MBA — with classes to begin in August 2022 — is now live.

The new format of the Darden MBA, which joins the Full-Time MBA, the Executive MBA and Global Executive MBA, will be based at UVA Darden DC Metro in the Rosslyn district of Arlington, Virginia, and is designed for working professionals. Courses, which are taught by the same Darden faculty members teaching in other MBA formats, will be offered primarily on weekday evenings, with a mix of in-person and virtual offerings.

The program will begin with a cohort-based core curriculum, followed by an elective period. During the elective period, students can complete the program at their own pace, with likely completion times of 28 to 48 months. The standard pacing for the program is expected to be 33 months.

All graduates of Darden MBA programs receive the same degree — the Darden MBA.

The first application deadline is 1 October.
