FT Ranking: UVA Darden Grads See Largest Salary Gains in Finance

Based on data from its FT 2017 Global MBA ranking, the Financial Times released a new ranking of the top MBAs for finance. University of Virginia Darden School of Business alumni ranked tops on the list for highest salary increase, with FT reporting that their annual income jumped 151 percent to $162,000 on average.
Assessing programs based on 13 criteria, including salary and salary increase of alumni, FT ranked Darden the No. 17 MBA program overall for a career in finance and No. 10 among U.S. schools. The data was based on a survey of alumni from the class of 2013. According to FT, 26 percent of Darden’s Class of 2013 alumni work in finance, slightly less than the 27 percent average among the 50 ranked schools.
Financial Times also ranks the Darden MBA No. 1 in the world for general management and No. 3 in the world for entrepreneurship.
