UVA Darden Welcomes Second Cohort of Dean’s DC Fellows

By Dave Hendrick

The University of Virginia Darden School of Business recently welcomed its second cohort of Dean’s D.C. Fellows, a distinguished group of experts working in a range of industries who will engage with the Darden community.

"As we strengthen our collaboration in the [D.C.] region, we are grateful for the valuable insights these accomplished leaders will bring to the School."
Dean Scott Beardsley

The second group of fellows, who will serve a two-year term, from 2023 to 2025, includes business leaders working in technology, media, finance and consumer products, among other sectors. In addition to their specific areas of expertise, fellows are chosen in part due to a proven ability to work in an interdisciplinary manner across industries.

In addition to convening as a group four times a year to discuss and debate pressing global issues, the fellows are invited to collaborate with Darden faculty and students in a variety of ways, both in and out of the classroom. Previous fellows participated in Leadership Unscripted speaker series events, led classroom discussions, and collaborated on case writing.

“Darden’s presence in the Washington, D.C., area has expanded rapidly in recent years, with hundreds of students and lifelong learners now based at UVA Darden DC Metro,” said Darden Dean Scott Beardsley. “As we strengthen our collaboration in the region, we are grateful for the valuable insights these accomplished leaders will bring to the School.”

“The first cohort of fellows contributed immensely to the UVA and Darden community, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the capabilities of the new group,” said Darden Professor Greg Fairchild, who serves as CEO of UVA Northern Virginia.

The 2023-25 Fellows include:
