UVA Darden Professor Laura Morgan Roberts Named to Thinkers50 Radar List

University of Virginia Darden School of Business Professor Laura Morgan Roberts has been named to a list of top thinkers to watch in 2021.
The 2021 Thinkers50 Radar list, which spotlights 30 management thinkers who are likely to make an impact in the year ahead, includes professors and researchers whose work “presents us with many of the key questions we need to resolve as individuals and organizations in the years ahead,” according to the organization.
Morgan Roberts, who teaches in the Leadership and Organizational Behavior area at Darden and whose work often focuses on maximizing human potential in diverse organizations, was highlighted for her work spotlighting the complex role of race in leadership and the workplace.
Wrote the organization: “Creating fairer career opportunities is an urgent necessity. Laura Morgan Roberts is leading the way in making this reality.”
Morgan Roberts is a widely published author and frequent media commentator, and has edited three books. Her most recent volume, Race, Work and Leadership: New Perspectives on the Black Experience, was released in 2019.
In fall 2020, Morgan Roberts was among the Darden professors who led the free, online course on Coursera, “Foundations of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Work.”
In 2020, Darden Professor Morela Hernandez earned a spot on the Radar list.
