UVA Darden Communication Professors’ Podcast Debuts With Delta Chairman Frank Blake
By Jay Hodgkins
University of Virginia Darden School of Business Professors June West and Steve Soltis kicked off 2021 by launching a new podcast, CEO Voices: Leading With Communication.
The new podcast “examines the communication that enables transformational leadership,” and the two Darden Communication area professors have already lined up an all-star cast of C-level executives to tackle the complex subject of leadership communication.
In the first episode, West and Soltis spoke with Frank Blake, the former CEO of The Home Depot and current Chairman of Delta Airlines. They discussed the massive overhaul Blake led of The Home Depot’s business and customer-service models while revitalizing its internal culture and how he’s helping Delta navigate a turbulent time for the airline industry.
