U.S. News & World Report released its 2017 Best Grad Schools rankings today. In the Best Business Schools category, which surveys 470 accredited U.S. schools, the University of Virginia Darden School of Business ranked No. 11.
In the specialty rankings, Darden advanced in the category of Management, rising to No. 6.
Darden set the bar in the employment success category, ranking No. 1 among the top 20 for both the percentage of graduates employed at graduation and three months after. Among the Darden Class of 2015, 88.9 percent of graduates were employed at graduation and 95.3 percent were employed three months after graduation.
“We are pleased with the success of our exceedingly well-prepared and enterprising students and of Darden’s Career Development Center and The Armstrong Center for Alumni Career Services, which provide best-in-class career management services,” said Darden’s Dean Scott Beardsley. “Darden graduates also achieve tremendous salary success, accepting some of the best career opportunities available to MBAs globally.”
U.S. News & World Report’s methodology combines a quality assessment rating from peer deans and business school administrators and recruiters, with quantitative data on placement success and student selectivity provided by the schools.
“Darden holds a coveted position among graduate business schools,” said Beardsley. “We offer students the world’s best business education experience, bar none, so that they can fulfill their full potential as agile decision-makers and lifelong learners and leaders.”
