UVA Darden Professor Shortlisted for Thinkers50 Award

University of Virginia Darden School of Business Professor Laura Morgan Roberts has been shortlisted for a top thought leadership award.

Roberts is among the finalists for the Thinkers50 Talent Award for 2021. The award, which recognizes scholars working in the field of human talent and workforce issues, will be announced at a Thinkers50 award event 15-16 November.

Described as a “global scholar, speaker and consultant on the science of maximizing human potential in diverse organizations and communities,” Roberts has previously been recognized by the organization, and was named to the 2021 Thinkers50 Radar list in January. The Radar list spotlights scholars whose work “presents us with many of the key questions we need to resolve as individuals and organizations in the years ahead,” according to Thinkers50.

Roberts teaches throughout the Darden MBA program, and her current and upcoming courses include “Leading Change,” “Leadership, Diversity and Leveraging Difference” and “Negotiations.”

Roberts’ most recent book, “Race, Work and Leadership: New Perspectives on the Black Experience, was released in 2019.
