UVA Darden Students Announce Graduation Speakers, Faculty and Staff Awards

The University of Virginia Darden School of Business on 20 April celebrated outstanding students, staff and faculty and looked ahead to an in-person graduation at the annual student-led spring awards.

The event, which was delivered virtually, comes roughly one month before final exercises, which will include an in-person ceremony at Scott Stadium. The Darden School will also host a student award event with Dean Scott Beardsley, faculty marshals and student speakers on 7 May.

The full-time MBA Class of 2021 voted Professors Lalin Anik and Tom Steenburgh as faculty marshals at graduation, and named James Peterson (Class of 2021) as class speaker.

The Executive MBA Class of 2021 named Professor Shane Dikolli as faculty marshal.

The Theo Herbert International Award: Professor Lalin Anik

The Kitty Smiley Friend of the Student Awards: Assistant Dean of Student Affairs Sarah Elliott and the entire Darden Hospitality food service staff

The Executive MBA Friend of the Student Awards: Associate Director Kathy Masloff and Director of Student Affairs and Engagement Laura Bordoni

The Faculty Diversity Award: Professor Roshni Raveendhran

The Outstanding Faculty Awards: Professors Lalin Anik and Frank Warnock

The Executive MBA Transformational Faculty Awards: Professors Shane Dikolli and Andy Wicks

The Club Prizes for Excellence: Graduate Women in Business and the Darden Outdoors Club
