To UVA Darden, From Outer Space

15 March 2018

By Jay Hodgkins

With more than 15,000 alumni located in around 90 countries, the University of Virginia Darden School of Business describes itself as a global business school.

But that description might need an update. NASA astronaut Scott Tingle, a 2015 alumnus of Darden Executive Education’s The Executive Program, has made the School’s alumni network interplanetary.

Tingle joined a NASA mission to the International Space Station, blasting into space in December, and will return to Earth in May or June. On 14 March, he took a moment away from his busy schedule to say “hello” to the Darden School.

A hearty “Hello!” to my friends at UVA Darden!

It’s not every day you get a shout out from space!

Thank you, Scott. Those Darden colors look great in space. From everyone at the School: Best of luck as you complete the mission and arrive home safely.
