Financial Times Ranks Darden Executive Education a Top Five Global Provider for the Ninth Consecutive Year

Financial Times released yesterday its 2012 ranking of Executive Education, an annual survey of short courses and custom solutions and an overall school ranking. In this year’s open-enrollment survey, Darden Executive Education once again earned a top spot as the No. 5 global provider of programs. This year marks the ninth consecutive year that Darden Executive Education has earned a position in the FT survey as a Top Five global provider.

In addition, Darden repeats a show of excellence in program delivery and client satisfaction, receiving high marks in the following categories of the open-enrollment participant survey:

  • No. 2 Course Design
  • No. 2 Facilities
  • No. 2 Faculty
  • No. 2 Food & Accommodations
  • No. 3 Aims Achieved
  • No. 3 Preparation
  • No. 4 Teaching Methods & Materials
  • No. 5 New Skills & Learning

“For more than half a century, Darden Executive Education has served as a critical resource for executives and businesses around the world,” says Trip Davis, president of the Darden School Foundation and senior associate dean for external relations. “Through real-life business case studies led by Darden’s highly acclaimed faculty and experiential learning, the programs prepare executives for a new level of leadership and help organizations solve key business challenges.”

FT’s annual open-enrollment program survey is based on the responses of program participants. In Darden’s case, the participants completed advanced management and leadership programs, including The Executive ProgramPower and Leadership and The Women’s Leadership Program, as well as the general management course, Management Development Program: Driving Vision, Action and Results.

FT shared a “Top 65” providers ranking in the open-enrollment category. While U.S. schools fared well, with 11 ranked among the Top 25, the Top 10 features more European schools than ever. In addition to the open-program survey, FT also released a “Top 70 Custom Programs” ranking, in which Darden is No. 32, and an overall ranking of the “Top 50 Schools”; Darden Executive Education is in the Top 20, claiming the No. 17 position.
